Which Audimute Acoustic Solutions are Class A Fire Rated?

NOTE: Most residential applications do not require fire rated materials. Audimute wall coverings and absorption sheets are more economical for customers who do not need a fire rated product.

Products NOT Class A Fire Rated.

Audimute absorption sheets and wall coverings are not made of fire rated materials. However, their level of fire resistance is easily increased by applying a commercially available fire-retardant spray.

To increase the level of fire resistance of Audimute’s portable acoustic wall treatments—sound absorption sheets and wall coverings (which are not manufactured with Class A–rated fabric), treat them with a fire-retardant spray. These sprays are widely available (FireBlock and No-Burn are two examples) and generally do not affect the look (test a small, inconspicuous area first) or acoustic performance of the fabrics we use. Many of these spray-on treatments have passed the same ASTM E-84 testing as our fire-rated fabrics and eco-C-tex.

Products Class A Fire Rated

Audimute Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps are made of only Class A fire-rated materials.

We developed Audimute Acoustic Panels as a stylish and affordable acoustic solution made with Class A Fire-Rated fabric by Guilford of Maine and CF Stinson, and eco-C-tex, a ClassA fire-rated absorption material made from natural cotton and renewable cellulose (Read more about eco-C-tex absorption technology here).   Audimute Acoustic Panels are perfect for studios, restaurants, dance halls and any other application where fire-rated acoustic noise control is essential.

Audimute Bass Traps are also constructed of Class A fire-rated materials. Bass traps capture low frequency sound to acoustically tune a room. Bass traps are a useful acoustical treatment for home theaters, recording studios and other settings built to provide a critical listening environment.
