Fire Safety
Peacemaker has been tested in accordance with Consumer Products Safety Commission FF 1-70 Pill Test as a standard to determine the surface burning of materials when exposed to small scale burning source. Peacemaker has passed the test, self-extinguished with no measurable flame spread. For floor applications, thermal barrier and structural requirements are met by using either a raft thickness of 5/8" or more of plywood or 1 ½" of gypsum concrete. Please note: You cannot add STC ratings together to obtain estimated STC ratings in a partition/wall configuration. For example, the addition of Peacemaker sound insulation (2 mm.) will increase the STC of a wall by estimated 2-3 points, whereas the addition of Peacemaker (3.2 mm) will increase the STC rating by estimated 4-5 points. Adding double layers of each material further reduces the transmission of sound, by as much as an estimated 10 points when using the 3.2 mm insulation. STC does NOT provide enough information about a material’s isolation properties.

I am multi-talented musician who liked playing music since i was a pre-teen. I never had to worry much about my hobby until my sister family her newborn baby needed to place to stay to get back on her feet. I have always heard of soundproofing but never considered it, because I thought it was unaffordable, difficult to setup or skeptical may not work as good as advertised. I spent many months looking into what would work best for me, I don't remember how i came across Audimute but I am happy I have found this great discovery! I am on an extremely tight budget but I am happy to know that I can build cheap effective sound reducing room one step at a time.
Pros: Peacemaker sound insulation is hefty and durable. I experimented double layering my hollow core door with peacemaker with an inch overlap, with single layer in between the gaps to helps seal up the door a little more, It has made a great difference. On two walls with the peacemaker I feel less vibration in the wall.
Con: I can think of is it was a lot heavier than I though it would be, so getting started and doing installation by yourself takes a little more time than if you had a partner.
