1.  Acoustic Panel Installation Instructions

Audimute Panel Clips are an effective and affordable way to hang panels with minimal damage to the wall.  Installation is quick and simple. The use of Audimute Panel Clips cuts panel installation time/cost by 50%

A single panel clip is approximately 2" wide, 1 3/8" tall, with a 3/8" lift-off. Each panel clip weighs 1 oz.

We recommend using ONE panel clip for all standard sized vertical panel installations & TWO panel clips for 2'x3 'and 2'x4' horizontal panel installations.

Installation and Care:

The surface of the panel can be dusted or lightly vacuumed like drapery to remove surface dust. You may also use a lint brush or roller for light dusting. (Mounting hardware is available at an additional charge)

2.Sound Absorption Sheet & Quick Hanging Knobs

Please read the instructions below to learn how to maximize the performance and use of Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets. Please note: Backing fabric on sheets may vary.

This is a high performance sound absorption product.   As such, it works best when in the same enclosed space where sound is being generated.

Ensure the product is completely exposed as the primary surface within the space and not covered with any dense/ hard surface material.

Do not cut Audimute sound absorption sheets to fit specific size requirements.  Fold the product instead.

Avoid penetrating with curtain hooks, nails, etc. as this will permanently damage the sheet(s).

For best results:  Allow the product to hang freely with a slight drape (curve).   Avoid stretching product flat against the wall surface.  The billowing effect will make for better sound absorption especially when 2" – 3" away from a wall.

Position product on opposite walls if possible.   Don't be afraid to experiment with the product's position within in a room for varying acoustical effect.  Dry Clean or spot clean only.

Sheet Rock (Dry Wall) Hanging:  Use nails, screws, or screw on nobs (available through Audimute)

Wood Walls/ Mounting Boards:  Use same as dry wall method OR Industrial Staples.  Stapling is more permanent.

Note:  To remove the original manufacturing scent, place 1-2 Audimute sheets in a dryer with a Bounce dryer sheet.  Set the dryer to airfluff or the lowest setting.  Remove after 15-20 minutes, repeat if necessary.

Sheets with Grommets may be hung using our Quick Hanging Knobs. To install the knobs:

  1. Attach the knob by hand twisting it onto the flat end of the threaded bolt (included)

  2. Place the plastic anchor (included) in the installation surface if needed (recommended when hanging in dry wall, wall board, or similar wall/ceiling surfaces), pre-drilling a .25 inch pilot hole.

  3. Screw the  pointed end of the threaded bolt into the anchor or installation surface.

  4. Grasp the bolt lightly with pliers (recommended to hold the bolt in place the first time) and loosen the knob by twisting counter-clockwise.

4.Drum Pads

SIMPLE TO USE:  Simply cut to size from the shipping sheets (this will take 5 - 10 minutes) and lay them on the drum head or cymbal.  D.R.U.M.S. will rest in place without any adhesive, clamp, or tape and can be easily removed as needed.  You will notice a BIG difference in the quality of your practice time from the very first use.

5.  Adhesive Door Seal

Measure the width and height of your door.Cut (3) strips of the Door Acoustic Seal to size (You'll need one for the top of your door as well as one for each side).

Begin in the corner of your door, on the INSIDE of the frame - adhere each Door Acoustic Seal.  Peel off the paper backing as you go. (Helpful Hint: Open your door and stand on the side towards which it opens - you'll be facing the inside of the door frame).

On the hinge side of the door, the acoustic seal should be adhered NEXT to the door jamb,On the opposite side, the Door Acoustic Seal should be adhered directly ON TOP of the the door jamb.

Once the Acoustic Door Seals been adhered, run the flashlight test to ensure that no gaps remain.  Simply shine a light through the top and sides of your door. If light shines through, you may want add another layer of the Door  Acoustic Seal because this means there is still air space between the door and frame where sound can travel.

Adhesive Door Sweep

Measure the width of the bottom of you doors

Cut to size one (1) strip of the Audimute Adhesive Door Sweep for each door in your space

Apply the Adhesive Door Sweep to the bottom of your door on whichever side you prefer, covering as much of the gap as possible (Note: Door sweeps only need to be applied to one side of the door)

Peel off the paper backing once adhesive door seal is applied

Be sure to adhere the door sweeps in a way that the door still swings open and closed with relative ease

When you have a soundproofing issue – once you remove the mid range and high end frequencies, you will find the only thing left is the bottom end. One will need to remix or rebalance for the room. Otherwise it will seem as though you increased volume on your bass – and you really just absorbed the mids and highs. You will not have to play as loud to be heard. You will not be competing with the deflection of sound off the walls and dense surfaces of the space. Result of using Audimute sheets in a recording studio – dry, unaffected sound that can be manually engineered for effect later in the mix down process. Utilizing Audimute will give you just the sound – true sound minus any flutter or room effect. Can be engineered to your liking later in the mixing stage.
