Do Audimute Absorption Sheets Block Noise?
NO! Audimute Sheets are for sound absorption and are not intended to be an STC solution for blocking/isolating sound. Sound absorbing products reduce and absorb reverberation (reflected sound) within a space. Bottom frequency (lower spectrum of sound) cannot be absorbed! Audimute Sheets will not eliminate low frequency sound.

Will Audimute Sheets Work for Me?
When you have a soundproofing issue – once you remove the mid range and high end frequencies, you will find the only thing left is the bottom end. One will need to remix or rebalance for the room. Otherwise it will seem as though you increased volume on your bass – and you really just absorbed the mids and highs. You will not have to play as loud to be heard. You will not be competing with the deflection of sound off the walls and dense surfaces of the space. Result of using Audimute sheets in a recording studio – dry, unaffected sound that can be manually engineered for effect later in the mix down process. Utilizing Audimute will give you just the sound – true sound minus any flutter or room effect. Can be engineered to your liking later in the mixing stage.

Will Audimute Sheets help keep the neighbors and police away?
Once the high and mids are removed, the bottom range is much more tolerable by neighbors provided there is no structural noise. Audimute sheets will eliminate visits by the police and angry neighbors to your practice space.

How will Audimute Sheets Help?
Audimute Absorption Sheets:
-
Clean Up Your Sound - Provide for clearer sounding music – eliminate the ‘Shouting Contest’ as you can hear every member of the band more evenly, without the competing deflecting sound waves. This separation of instruments allows musicians to find their mistakes in timing and pitch, correcting your band harmonies.
-
Save Your Hearing – Reduce exposure to harmful/dangerous volume levels
-
Make Neighbors/Housemates Happier
-
Save the Planet – Audimute is made from recycled materials. It’s a safe & natural product.

What is the difference between Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets and a moving blanket?
Although Audimute Absorption Sheets and moving blankets are both manufactured by a high speed
stitching process and may look similar, they are not in the same
league!
Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets are made of 100% natural
fibers (cotton & wool.) They are engineered for acoustic performance and
have been proven effective (.70 NRC and higher) both in the lab and in
thousands of applications for over a decade.
Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets are manufactured in the USA to higher
quality standards than moving blankets, furniture pads, etc. Moving blankets
are composed of Shoddy (industrial textile waste or floor sweep = material not
acoustically effective and lacking consistent sound absorption results)

How Can I Enhance the Look of the Audimute Absorption Sheets?
While our customers love the effectiveness of our Sound
Absorption Sheets, we do frequently receive questions and suggestions in regard
to the sheets aesthetics. We would like to share with you some ideas for
improving the sheets aesthetics.
Many of our customers have framed the sheets. Others have covered
the sheets with fabric.
Our most frequently asked question is whether the sheets can
be dyed or painted. The product cannot be dyed or painted with ordinary dyes or
paint as it will alter the products effectiveness, reducing the product’s
absorption ability.
We have found, however, a fabric spray, which will not
permeate the fabric and reduce the effectiveness of the sheets. Upholstery
Fabric Paint can be found at www.fabricspraypaint.com
According to Simply Spray, Upholstery Fabric Paint covers
approximately 17 square feet evenly. However, coverage will vary depending on
color desired.

How can I mount MegaClips to concrete?
To mount our MegaClips to concrete, purchase a liquid adhesive product like Liquid Nails and place it on the back of the MegaClip. Place the MegaClip on the concrete. Put a piece of strong tape over the MegaClip, holding it in place, and leave it in place for 24 hours. Remove the tape - the MegaClip is now ready to hold your Audimute!
